The Gentle class is just as the title says, a gentle form of hatha yoga in which the poses are adapted to individual ability, so that you always start from where you are rather than where you think you ought to be.
Any movement done attentively and mindfully can be classified as yoga, there is absolutely no need to tie yourself into knots. As long as it feels good and you get to stretch and create space in those forgotten joints and muscles to relieve old aches and pains, then you’re on the right track.
It is that same attention to detail, with kindness and curiosity, that helps to calm the mind. Each session is an opportunity to refresh and reset the balance.
