Introduction to Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative practice which focuses on the connective tissue and is particularly beneficial for the joints of the hip and spine. The poses are gentle and passive, allowing time for a deep release.

In this workshop we will learn about the different elements that are involved in the practice of yin yoga. The physical structure of the joints, the influence of gravity and the breath, the mental attitude of receptivity and equanimity, the energy lines or meridians that run through the body, they all have their part to play.
Then we move into the experience itself: an hour and a half of yin yoga that will lubricate your joints, brighten your mind and replenish your energy levels.
